I love this idea from LifeHacker. The cost of the K-Cups is really adding up and I don't want to buy a second machine. A French press is quick, easy and affordable. It also brews one of the best cups of coffee I ever had. A+

Almost Free Homemade Laundry Detergent - It works!
I came across this article earlier this year and decided to give it a try. It is not quite perpetual motion or a car that runs on water, but it is close. I was appalled by the high cost of laundry detergent as figured there must be a better, cheaper option. The basic recipe should be fairly simple...and it is. The right mix of surfactants and pH is the key.

This recipe will work in traditional washers as well as High Efficiency (HE) machines. It is amazing how well Borax, Arm and Hammer, soap, and little time can produce a very good homemade laundry detergent.
